Overview
Night Crew keeps your Mac awake while AI coding agents are working, and lets it sleep when they finish. It follows Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Gemini CLI, holds the Mac awake while any of them is working, and lets go about a minute after the last one stops.
Unlike a keep-awake timer, the hold follows the agents, so you don't have to guess how long a task will take or remember to turn it off.
What it does
- No setup for Claude Code. Codex, Cursor and Gemini CLI connect with one click.
- Lid mode keeps agents working with the lid closed. On the charger by default; battery is opt-in.
- Guards stop the hold at a battery floor, if the Mac gets hot, and after 24 hours.
- Why is my Mac awake? shows which sessions are holding it awake, and what else will keep it up after they finish.
- Activity shows how long agents worked while your Mac would otherwise have slept, by day, week and month.
Who it's for
Developers who leave AI coding agents running on a MacBook, overnight or while away from the desk.
